My husband flew home on Wednesday. I had planned to travel with him, but had to cancel at the very last moment. These goodies were tucked into his suitcase. He purchased the honey and nougat directly from the beekeeper at the Fontainebleau outdoor market. “Honey for my honey,” he said.
The macarons à la ganache are from La Maison du Chocolat in Paris. On our last trip, we shared a cup of their hot chocolate – the most decadent I’ve ever had. My favorites so far are the Sylvia (chocolate with subtle notes of caramel) and the Roméo (ganache infused with Arabica coffee from Kenya). “You couldn’t come with me to France, so I brought France to you.”
